Cyber Bullying
Verbal Bullying involves writing or saying rude or mean comments to a person. Verbal bullying includes:
Verbal Threats
Taunts
Name-calling
Teasing
Social Bullying (Also known as relational bullying) involves damaging a person's relationships with others or degrading their reputation. Some examples of what Social Bullying may include are:
Purposefully embarrassing someone in public
Spreading rumors
Leaving someone out purposefully
Directly telling others to not be friends with a certain person
Physical bullying is physically hurting a person's body or possessions. Items included in this category are:
Rude hand gestures
Taking and/or breaking a person's belongings
Tripping or pushing
Spitting
Hitting, kicking, pinching, biting, etc.
Cyber Bullying is the use of electronic communication to hurt or intimidate a person. Cyber bulling may include:
Rude or mean text messages/Emails
Rumors posted for public viewing digitally
Embarrassing pictures or videos posted for public viewing
Cyber bullying is very different from any other form of bullying because it
Can happen in any place at any time
Can happen even when the person is alone
Can be easily kept between only the bully and the victim
Can be very hard for a parent or other to detect
